Vault Of Slime Page01
Something sicker and sexier (and slimier) than I usually do with my comics. These are all old images that were cleaned up and composited
Vault Of Slime Copy
Me playing with some old photos trying out some new techniques.

In a shield wall enough arrows will find every gap and pierce whatever is unprotected. Eyes, throats, shoulders, even legs would all be fair game. An archer wouldn't even necessarily need to aim, though of course it didn't hurt. After all an archer could have three or four arrows in the air at any one time up to eight hours a minute. Though that rate would be hard to maintain for more than ten minutes or so. But with several hundred archers one could blanket a formation.

The Norse weren't expecting the Nasnor archers to show up at the battle. They had assumed their terror raids would have cowed them into submission so they would not send troops to the northern island when King Falkimir of Elgon requested them. It was only Larya's magic that got them through, but that is another story. But the archers arrived and the Norse weren't expecting them especially when retreating after a defeat . They weren't supposed to lose.
Currently I am taking a breather from the comic production as it is very tiring and incredibly easy to get burnt out.  So I'm building some models to unwind.  Meanwhile, I'm getting impatient to get back to work on the comic.

"He's one of the finest, grumpiest most cynical people in the known universe."

Military historian and veteran. I drew uniforms and tanks from a very early age. After getting a history degree I decided to live it and spent ten years on tanks. Have been building models since Nixon was president and have built just about everything but I keep coming back to armored vehicles. Cordite and diesel in my blood and a head as solid as a track block I suppose.

About ten years ago I drifted into doing web comics illustrated with action figures and complex sets. Sort of a combination of model building, miniature painting and graphic design. Besides the history degree and a teaching certification I have a degree in graphic design and an on-going love affair with Photo Shop.

I've completed three web comics with more than 600 pages online. They're hosted on just look up Robofemoids and you'll see a sterling example of B-movie exploitation done with half naked action figures.

The Robofemoids are all mine. It's my very own word. Yippee!

The uniforms are always perfect and very detailed.

Always wondered, do you create the rank insignia your self?
